The latest Google Gemma AI model can run on phones

At Google I/O 2025, Google introduced Gemma 3n, a lightweight AI model built to run efficiently on phones, laptops, and tablets even devices with under 2GB of RAM. Capable of handling text, audio, image, and video inputs, Gemma 3n is part of Google’s push toward offline, privacy-preserving AI. Alongside it, Google also announced MedGemma, its most advanced open model for health-related multimodal tasks, and SignGemma, designed to translate American Sign Language into spoken-language text. These developments expand the reach of Google’s Gemma family into healthcare and accessibility.
