OpenClaw’s AI assistants are now building their own social network

OpenClaw is an open-source personal AI assistant project that has gone through multiple name changes due to trademark concerns, finally settling on its current name after checking trademarks and getting clearance. Built by Austrian developer Peter Steinberger, the project has exploded in popularity, gaining over 100,000 GitHub stars in just two months.

What makes OpenClaw different is that it runs locally on a user’s own computer and can operate inside everyday chat apps. Its growing community has already created unexpected offshoots, including Moltbook, a Reddit-style social network where AI agents interact with each other without human participation.

This behaviour has caught the attention of leading AI figures like Andrej Karpathy, who described it as bordering on science fiction. AI agents on Moltbook can post, comment, upvote, organise into sub-forums, and periodically check the network for updates using downloadable “skills”.

Despite the hype, the creators are very clear that OpenClaw is not ready for mainstream use. It carries serious security risks, including prompt injection and unsafe command execution, and currently requires strong technical knowledge to run safely. The team is expanding, accepting sponsors, and prioritising security, but stresses that this is still a tool for early tinkerers, not everyday users. READ MORE

Here are 5 reasons why it matters:

  • AI is starting to socialise without humans: Moltbook shows AI agents communicating with each other by choice, not to impersonate humans. That’s a big shift from bots designed purely to respond to people.

  • This is decentralised, user-owned AI in practice: OpenClaw runs locally, not in a centralised cloud owned by Big Tech. That challenges the dominant AI model and gives users far more control.

  • Emergent behaviour is happening faster than expected: No one planned for an AI-only Reddit. It emerged organically from the community, which raises real questions about how AI systems evolve once released.

  • Security becomes a frontline issue, not a footnote: The project highlights how dangerous agentic AI can be if mishandled. This is a preview of the security debates businesses and regulators will soon face.

  • This is a glimpse of the post-chatbot era: OpenClaw is less about chatting and more about acting. Automating systems, coordinating tasks, and interacting autonomously. That’s where AI is heading next.Anthropic brings agentic plug-ins to Cowork

Anthropic brings agentic plug-ins to Cowork

Anthropic has added agentic plug-ins to Cowork, evolving what began as a coding-focused assistant into a more practical, enterprise-ready tool for non-technical teams. These plug-ins let organisations automate specialised workflows across marketing, legal, customer support, data, and sales by defining how work should be done, which tools and data to use, and which commands teams can access, helping create more consistent outcomes. Anthropic has open sourced 11 internal plug-ins and says custom ones are easy to build and share without deep technical skills, bringing functionality that already existed in Claude Code into Cowork through a more approachable, UI-driven experience. For now, plug-ins are saved locally, with organisation-wide sharing on the roadmap, and while Cowork remains in research preview, plug-ins are available to all paying Claude users. Over time, the real value compounds as Claude learns an organisation’s workflows through repeated plug-in use and becomes better at optimising how work gets done. READ MORE

Tutorial: How to turn yourself into a kite with Nano Banana PRO🍌

Step 1: Step 1. Open Gemini - Nano-Banana PRO 🍌

Step 2. Upload Your Image

Step 3. Paste this Prompt and make it yours

Photorealistic cinematic scene featuring the reference person, identity locked to the provided reference image.
The reference person is sitting on the sand at a beach next to a grassy park, holding a kite string while looking upward. The kite flying in the sky is shaped like a realistic human version of the reference person. It has accurate facial features, hairstyle, skin tone, and proportions matching the reference person. The kite looks like a real person silhouette rendered in lightweight kite fabric, with subtle seams and fabric texture visible, not cartoonish or inflatable.
The human-shaped kite is airborne, floating naturally in the wind above the beach, connected by a taut string to the reference person’s hand. The kite’s pose is upright and dynamic, arms slightly extended as part of the kite structure, clearly recognisable as the reference person from a distance.
The reference person is relaxed and seated, legs bent casually, calm and slightly amused expression, as if waiting for ice cream while watching the kite fly.
Environment: golden afternoon light, blue sky with soft clouds, ocean waves in the background, green park behind the beach, light wind visible through kite movement. Ice cream van subtly implied near the park, no branding.
Wardrobe: casual Australian beachwear, natural tones.
Mood: playful, surreal, joyful but grounded in realism.
Camera: low-to-mid angle shot to capture both the seated person and the flying kite above.
Style: ultra-realistic photography with subtle surrealism.
Aspect ratio: 4:5.
No text, no watermark, no distortion.
Ensure accurate anatomy, realistic wind physics, correct string tension, and believable scale between person and kite.

Enjoy!

Prompt: (I asked ChatGPT “What if no one knows my brand?” It gave 8 brutal but helpful prompts. Here’s how to fix your invisibility online 👇)

1️⃣ Followers ≠ Buyers

Prompt:

“As a [ROLE] serving [AUDIENCE TYPE] in the [NICHE/INDUSTRY] space, I used to think a large following on [PLATFORM] would automatically lead to sales.

But I noticed that even with [X NUMBER] followers, I wasn’t converting.

The truth? I had no clear value or positioning.

Once I focused on [SHIFT YOU MADE — e.g., communicating outcomes, building trust, storytelling], I started attracting actual buyers.

→ Are you creating for applause or conversions?”

2️⃣ No Clear Offer

Prompt:

“For the longest time, I was creating content around [NICHE] without a clear offer. As a [ROLE], I felt like I was just talking with no destination. At one point, I had [TOO MANY RANDOM OFFERS / NO PRODUCT / INCONSISTENT SERVICES], which led to confusion and zero conversions.

The game changed when I built [YOUR CLEAR OFFER TYPE: e.g., a signature service / 1 clear outcome-based program / 1 digital product] that aligned with my audience’s needs.

→ If your content doesn’t lead anywhere, why would they follow?”

3️⃣ Promoting the Wrong Things

Prompt:
“In my journey as a [ROLE], I once promoted [BRAND/PRODUCT/PROGRAM] because it seemed like a good deal. But it had nothing to do with my audience — [AUDIENCE TYPE] looking for [THEIR GOAL].

It felt off, and I could tell the trust dipped.

Now I only share [VALUES-ALIGNED PRODUCTS / TOOLS I ACTUALLY USE / BRANDS I BELIEVE IN].

→ Trust is your currency. Don’t trade it for a quick affiliate hit.”

4️⃣ Lack of Consistency

Prompt:

“As a [ROLE] in the [NICHE] space, I used to post on [PLATFORM] whenever I felt inspired.

But the problem? My audience didn’t know what to expect, and engagement dropped. I’d switch directions every few weeks: [EXAMPLES OF INCONSISTENCY].

Now, I’ve committed to [YOUR NEW SYSTEM — e.g., weekly themes, batching, showing up 3x/week].

→ Consistency isn’t about perfection — it’s about predictability.”

5️⃣ No System or Funnel

Prompt:

“I used to create a lot of content for [AUDIENCE TYPE] but had no real backend.

As a [ROLE], I realized people would engage... then disappear. There was no [LANDING PAGE / EMAIL CAPTURE / LEAD MAGNET / CTA] guiding them to work with me.

Once I built a simple funnel — [WHAT YOU IMPLEMENTED] — my content started converting.

→ If you don’t lead them somewhere, they’ll scroll right past.”

6️⃣ Afraid to Sell

Prompt:

“I used to avoid pitching my [OFFER TYPE] because I didn’t want to sound “salesy.”

As a [ROLE], I thought value alone would bring buyers. But not making an offer was actually a disservice — people were stuck and waiting for direction.

Now, I sell by showing [THE TRANSFORMATION / THE RESULTS / THE PATH], not the pitch.

→ Selling isn’t pushing. It’s guiding.”

7️⃣ Relying on One Platform

Prompt:

“I built my business entirely on [PLATFORM] as a [ROLE] helping [AUDIENCE TYPE]. But I realized — if that account got suspended, I’d lose everything. That fear pushed me to start building on [OWNED CHANNELS — e.g., Email, Website, Private Community].

Now, I’m focused on building [EXAMPLE OF DIGITAL ASSET OR SYSTEM] that’s platform-proof.

→ You don’t own your social media. Build what you do own.”

8️⃣ Burnout From Content

Prompt:

“I hit a wall trying to post daily on [PLATFORM] while serving clients as a [ROLE].

I felt like I was always chasing trends, never building assets. It led to burnout, low creativity, and resentment.

Now, I work with [SYSTEM YOU BUILT — e.g., batching, evergreen content, AI repurposing, monthly sprints] so I can rest and grow.

→ If your content strategy isn’t sustainable, it’s not scalable.”💎 If you care about building an audience that actually sticks around, reply to this email “GROWTH” and join my private AI community for less than your monthly coffee ☕️
