OpenAI launches AgentKit to help developers build and ship AI agents
OpenAI has launched AgentKit, a toolkit designed to make building, deploying, and managing AI agents faster and simpler. Announced by Sam Altman at Dev Day 2025, AgentKit gives developers all the building blocks to take agents from prototype to production with far less friction. It includes the Agent Builder, a visual “Canva-like” interface for designing logic and workflows; ChatKit, which lets developers embed custom chat experiences inside their apps; Evals for Agents, a suite for measuring performance and automating prompt optimisation; and a Connector Registry, allowing secure integration with internal tools and third-party systems. During the event, OpenAI engineer Christina Huang built a full AI workflow and two agents live on stage in under eight minutes, demonstrating the toolkit’s ease of use. The launch signals OpenAI’s intent to dominate the growing market for enterprise-grade agent frameworks that enable autonomous, multi-step AI applications. READ MORE
Why it matters and how can we adapt to this change:
Lowers the barrier to building AI agents: AgentKit gives developers a more guided and visual way to build agents, reducing the friction of having to piece together many custom components manually.
Moves AI from experiment to production: With built-in evaluation, monitoring, connector management and safety guardrails, AgentKit helps bridge the gap between prototypes and real applications in enterprises.
Encourages adoption across industries: Because it supports connecting to internal systems and third-party services, businesses in healthcare, finance, logistics, etc., can deploy agents tailored to their workflows.
Signals competitive positioning: This is OpenAI making a strong move in the “agent” space, countering other AI platforms trying to own the agent infrastructure market.
Pushes forward autonomous systems: As AI agents become more capable, we may see a shift in how software is built: more delegation to intelligent systems rather than purely manual workflows.
Google launches its AI vibe-coding app Opal in 15 more countries
Google has expanded access to Opal, its AI-powered “vibe-coding” app, to 15 new countries including Canada, India, Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, Indonesia, Brazil, and Singapore. Originally launched in the U.S. in July 2025, Opal allows users to create mini web apps through text prompts, automatically generating workflows that can then be visually customised and published online. The expansion comes after a wave of unexpectedly creative and practical apps built by early users. Google also announced major upgrades: faster performance (reducing app creation time from over five seconds), improved debugging within the no-code editor, and the ability to run steps in parallel for more complex workflows. With these updates, Opal positions itself among tools like Canva, Figma, and Replit, empowering nontechnical users to design, build, and share functional web apps without coding. READ MORE

“Cinematic photoreal portrait, vertical composition, vivid saturated colors. A young man (photo attached) standing outdoors at sunset, waist-up, on the right third of the frame, in profile facing left. He lifts a giant glowing full moon with both hands, palms supporting its underside, fingers spread. The moon is oversized, occupying the upper-left quadrant, glowing intensely golden-orange (#FF9E00 – #FFB84D), with bold visible craters and texture, radiating strong light. The man wears a loose, plain short-sleeve t-shirt in light beige-grey. His skin and face are illuminated by a deep warm orange rim light from the glowing moon. Hair is short, dark, slightly tousled. Background: dramatic saturated twilight sky, deep fiery orange (#FF4500) and rich crimson-red (#D9381E) near the horizon, blending upward into dark violet-purple (#4B2E83). Low dark clouds visible, horizon silhouettes of trees and buildings in pure black (#000000), with a few tiny, glowing bokeh lights. Lighting & style: cinematic golden-hour tones, high saturation, high contrast, dramatic and dreamy, strong warm highlights from the moon, deep shadows for silhouette effect, photorealistic rendering, poetic atmosphere.”
Enjoy!
