Meta centralizes Facebook and Instagram support, tests AI support assistant

Meta has launched a centralised support hub for Facebook and Instagram users, aiming to fix long-standing complaints about poor customer support. The hub offers tools for reporting issues, recovering accounts, and accessing help through AI-powered search and a new AI assistant. The AI assistant is being tested first on Facebook and provides personalised guidance for tasks like account recovery and profile management.

Meta says AI has already reduced hacks by over 30 percent and improved detection of threats like phishing and suspicious logins. They also claim fewer accounts are being mistakenly disabled and that appeals are being resolved faster. However, many users report the opposite, saying Meta’s automated systems lock them out without human review, sometimes harming their businesses. A Reddit community has even formed for people taking legal action over disabled accounts.

The new hub aims to centralise recovery steps, streamline verification, improve alerts for risky activity, and add tools like security checkups, two-factor authentication, and optional selfie-video identity checks. Anthropic signs $200M deal to bring its LLMs to Snowflake’s customers

Anthropic has signed a $200 million multi-year deal with Snowflake to bring its Claude models directly into Snowflake’s platform. This expands their existing partnership and lets Snowflake’s large customer base use Claude Sonnet 4.5 and Opus 4.5 for enterprise AI tasks, including multimodal data analysis and custom AI agent creation.

Snowflake says Claude will power its Snowflake Intelligence service, giving enterprises scalable and context-aware AI that works natively inside their secure data environments. Both companies are positioning this as a joint go-to-market push for enterprise-grade AI agents.

Anthropic’s CEO, Dario Amodei, highlighted that businesses want AI that operates safely within their existing data setups, and this integration does exactly that.

The deal is part of Anthropic’s broader strategy to win enterprise clients. In recent months the company has also landed major partnerships with Deloitte and IBM.
