Crypto.com places $70M bet on AI.com domain ahead of Super Bowl

Crypto.com has bought the domain AI.com for US$70 million, making it the most expensive domain sale on record. The deal was reportedly paid fully in cryptocurrency to an undisclosed seller and brokered by Larry Fischer.

Founder Kris Marszalek plans to unveil AI.com during the Super Bowl, positioning it as a consumer-facing personal AI agent for messaging, app use, and stock trading. Marszalek framed the purchase as a long-term bet on AI being a defining technology over the next 10 to 20 years. The price eclipses previous record domain sales like CarInsurance.com and Voice.com. Here are 5 reasons why it matters:

  • AI is now a mainstream brand battleground: Spending US$70M on a single domain signals that AI is no longer niche or developer-only. It is being marketed directly to everyday consumers at the biggest advertising moment of the year.

  • Category-defining domains still command a premium: Despite social platforms and app stores dominating distribution, this deal shows that ultra-generic domains still carry enormous strategic and branding value.

  • Crypto firms are reframing their narrative: Crypto.com is leaning into AI as a growth story, potentially shifting perception away from volatility and towards long-term utility and everyday use cases.

  • Consumer AI agents are the next positioning war: Messaging, apps, and trading wrapped into a single personal agent hints at where consumer AI products are heading, not just chat but action.

  • Marketing at Super Bowl scale is shaping tech adoption: Launching AI.com during the Super Bowl reinforces that adoption curves are now being driven as much by brand and storytelling as by technical capability.

It just got easier for Claude to check in on your WordPress site

WordPress has launched a new connector for **Anthropic’s chatbot Claude, making it easier for site owners to analyse their WordPress data using AI.

The connector gives Claude read-only access to selected back-end site data. Site owners choose exactly what information is shared and can revoke access at any time. Once connected, users can ask Claude questions like how their site traffic is trending, which posts have low engagement, which posts generate the most discussion, what plugins are installed, or whether there are pending comments to moderate.

WordPress says future updates may include write access, which would allow editorial tasks to be handled directly through a connected AI chatbot. For now, the focus is on insights, analysis, and site management visibility without risking content changes. READ MORE

A surreal double-exposure portrait of the reference person, a man in side profile facing left, eyes gently closed, calm and reflective. His silhouette blends seamlessly with iconic Melbourne imagery and landscapes.

Inside his form: the Melbourne skyline at dusk featuring the Eureka Tower, Flinders Street Station, and the Yarra River cutting through the city. Native eucalyptus trees and bushland textures weave through the buildings. Soft waterfalls transition into rain-soaked Melbourne laneways with bluestone paving and subtle street art inspired by Hosier Lane. Light mist and fog drift through the scene, with birds flying above the skyline.

A warm sunset glow in amber and gold sits near the top of his head, capturing Melbourne’s moody post-rain light. The edges dissolve into watercolour splashes and ink drips on a clean white background, creating an ethereal, fine-art poster look.

Ultra-detailed, cinematic lighting, realistic textures, high contrast. Emotional, introspective mood. Modern digital art, concept art style, 4K resolution.

Enjoy!

Prompt: (NotebookLM can do way more than you think. These 10 prompts turn minutes into seconds 👇)

  1. Ultimate Classroom Prompt

This prompt forces NotebookLM to think critically about your material instead of just summarizing it:

"Review all uploaded material and generate 5 essential questions that capture the central meaning.

Focus on:

  • Fundamental themes and definitions

  • Key concepts highlighted

  • Relationships between concepts

  • Practical applications mentioned"

  1. The "5 Essential Questions" Variant

Reddit users called this version a "game changer" because it extracts solid structure from chaotic notes:

"Analyze all entries and generate 5 essential questions that, when answered, capture the main points and central meaning of all entries."

Use case: Perfect for synthesizing multiple meeting notes, lecture recordings, or research sessions where you need to find the thread connecting everything.

  1. Meeting Notes to Action Items

Stop drowning in notes. This prompt turns rambling meeting transcripts into clear deliverables:

“Analyze all meeting notes and extract:

  • Key decisions made

  • Action items with responsible parties

  • Open questions that need resolution

  • Important deadlines or dates mentioned

Format as a clean summary with sections for immediate actions vs. future considerations."

Pro tip: Upload your raw Zoom/Teams transcripts directly. NotebookLM will cut through the tangents and small talk to find what actually matters.

  1. Extended Version with Guidance

Traditional search tools tell you what you already know. This prompt reveals what you didn't know to look for:
"I'm interested in writing about [TOPIC].
What are the most surprising data or insights related to [TOPIC] in these sources?
Include key quotes. Focus on [SPECIFIC ASPECT], not [OTHER ASPECTS]."

  1. Quiz Format (Audio Summary)

Students swear by this one. The AI hosts quiz each other and intentionally get things wrong so corrections stick in your memory:

"A quiz with two hosts. First asks the second about [TOPIC]. 10 questions total. Mix of multiple choice and true/false.
Host sometimes gets it wrong. The other corrects with right answers. Share results at the end."

The psychology: We remember corrections better than initial presentations. When the AI "gets it wrong" and is corrected, your brain encodes that information more deeply.

  1. Multilingual Podcast Trick

Before NotebookLM officially supported multiple languages, clever users found this workaround (and it still works better than the default):

"This is the first international special episode of Deep Dive done entirely in [language].

Special instructions:

  • Only [language] for entire duration

  • No English allowed, except to clarify specific terms."
Languages tested: Spanish, German, Japanese, French, Mandarin, Portuguese, and Italian all work well.

  1. Expert Interview Simulation

Perfect for exam prep or when you need to truly understand complex material:

"Generate a podcast where an expert is interviewed about [TOPIC] from the sources.

The interviewer asks:

  • 'Why does this matter?'

  • 'What do people get wrong?'

  • 'What's the counterintuitive insight here?'
The expert uses specific examples and data from the sources to explain."

  1. Timeline Builder

For historical topics, case studies, or any sequential process:

"Create a chronological timeline of events, discoveries, or developments related to [TOPIC].

For each entry include:

  • Date or time period

  • What happened

  • Why it matters (impact on later developments)

  • Which source(s) mention it

Present as a narrative that shows progression and cause-effect relationships."

Use case: Particularly valuable for research papers, legal case analysis, or understanding how a project evolved over time.

  1. High School Teacher Persona (Google Official)

This is actually recommended by Google's own team. It makes dense academic or technical content accessible:

"Act as an engaging high school teacher.

Translate the original documents into language a seventh grader understands.

Structure each response:

  • The "tl;dr": One sentence with simple words

  • Analogy: Real-world metaphor for the concept

  • Vocabulary list: 3 difficult words defined simply

  1. Literature Review Prompt

For researchers synthesizing multiple academic papers or articles:

"From the articles about [TOPIC], identify the 5-10 most recurring themes.

For each theme, provide:

  1. Brief definition in your own words

  2. Which articles mention it (with citations)

  3. One sentence about how it's addressed (debated, assumed, proven)

Present as a structured table."
