AI video startup, Higgsfield, founded by ex-Snap exec, lands $1.3B valuation

AI video startup Higgsfield, founded by former Snap generative AI lead Alex Mashrabov, has reached a $1.3 billion valuation after extending its Series A with an additional $80 million, bringing total funding to $130 million. Just nine months after launch, the platform claims over 15 million users and a $200 million annual revenue run rate, doubling in roughly two months. Higgsfield positions itself as a professional tool for social media marketers and creative teams, not just casual AI video generation, despite ongoing debate around low quality or controversial AI content. Investors in the round include Accel, Menlo Ventures, AI Capital Partners, and GFT Ventures. READ MORE

Here are 5 reasons why it matters:

  • AI video is officially big business: A $1.3B valuation this early shows AI video has moved from novelty to serious infrastructure for content creation.

  • Speed of growth is extreme: Hitting 15M users and a $200M run rate in under a year puts Higgsfield in rare territory, even compared to elite SaaS and AI companies.

  • Creators are no longer the main buyer: The shift toward professional social media teams signals enterprise and agency adoption, which means bigger contracts and stickier revenue.

  • Pressure increases on competitors: This raises the bar for tools like Runway, Pika, and others that need to show real revenue, not just cool demos.

  • Content quality vs scale tension is unavoidable: The same tech enabling cinematic brand storytelling can also produce viral junk, forcing platforms and regulators to confront moderation, ethics, and brand risk head-on.

Gemini’s new beta feature provides proactive responses based on your photos, emails, and more

Google has launched a new beta feature in Gemini called Personal Intelligence that lets the AI reason across a user’s Google ecosystem, including Gmail, Photos, Search, and YouTube history, to deliver more personalised and proactive responses. Instead of simply retrieving information, Gemini can now connect context across emails, images, and past behaviour to make suggestions such as trip planning based on previous holidays, recommendations for content and products, or pulling specific details like a licence plate number from a photo when needed. The feature is off by default, gives users full control over which apps are connected, and includes guardrails around sensitive topics, with Google stating that Gemini does not train directly on Gmail or Photos but only references them to answer prompts. Personal Intelligence is rolling out to Google AI Pro and AI Ultra subscribers in the US first, with plans to expand to more countries and eventually the free tier, signalling Google’s move toward a more genuinely personal AI assistant rather than a purely reactive chatbot. Tutorial: How to create this Pixar animation using Nano Banana PRO🍌

Step 1: Step 1. Open Gemini - Nano-Banana PRO 🍌

Step 2. Upload Your Image

Step 3. Paste this Prompt and make it yours

Create an image using the exact same face as the uploaded reference photo. Do not alter facial structure, proportions, skin texture, hairstyle, or identity in any way. The human and cartoon versions must clearly be the same person. Real Version (Human – Reference Photo Person)

The reference photo person is seated outdoors next to a cartoon twin of himself.

He is wearing a black hoodie with the text “Synapze AI” on the chest, black jeans, and clean sneakers.

A capybara is calmly resting on his shoulder, realistic in scale and detail.

He is seated casually on a low concrete ledge, one elbow resting on his knee, one hand lightly touching his chin.

His expression is relaxed and confident, looking slightly toward the camera.

Hyper-realistic skin texture, natural lighting, true-to-life proportions. Cartoon Version (Pixar-Style Twin)

Beside him sits a 3D Pixar-style cartoon twin of the same person.

Oversized head, expressive eyes, soft rounded facial features, friendly smile.

The cartoon wears a simplified Pixar-style version of the same outfit: black hoodie with “Synapze AI”, black jeans, sneakers.

Bright colours, smooth textures, clean animation-style materials.

Clearly stylised, but instantly recognisable as the same person. Environment & Composition
