LTXV unlocks 60 second AI Videos

Lightricks has updated its open-source LTXV model to support real-time image-to-video generation of over 60 seconds. The model streams video instantly, allowing users to control prompts, poses, depth, and style mid-generation. Netflix starts using GenAI in its shows and films

Netflix has officially started using generative AI in its original content, marking a milestone with the Argentine show El Eternauta, where AI was used to create a building collapse scene. According to co-CEO Ted Sarandos, the scene was completed ten times faster and at a lower cost than traditional methods. He emphasised that AI is enhancing the creative process by giving creators better tools, particularly in pre-visualisation, shot planning, and visual effects.

Co-CEO Greg Peters added that generative AI is also being used across Netflix in areas like personalisation, search, and advertising. The company plans to launch interactive ads in the second half of 2025.

Financially, Netflix reported $11.08 billion in revenue for Q2 2025 (up 16% year-on-year) and $3.13 billion in profit. Viewers streamed over 95 billion hours in the first half of the year, with non-English titles making up one-third of total views. READ MORE
